Mission

Blue Water Technologies, Inc. offers a broad platform of water treatment technology products, from primary wastewater treatment to advanced effluent polishing steps to environmental remediation processes. Our team strives to meet the customer's needs cost-effectively, considering both capital expense and ongoing operations and maintenance costs. Additionally, we keep an eye on the future by looking for sustainability in our technologies, including environmentally-friendly materials and energy conservation.

Blue Water employs a diverse workforce in engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and administration. Our corporate headquarters and research facilities are located in Hayden, Idaho.

Don Baldwin

Don Baldwin, CEO, graduated in 1984 from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. In 1984 he joined Micron Technology (NYSE:MU) where he held a variety of executive positions, including V.P. of Worldwide Sales & President of Micron Semiconductor Products. Mr. Baldwin currently serves on the Board of Ironspeed Inc., a Bay area software company.

Tom Daugherty

Tom Daugherty, President, has over 25 years of corporate marketing and sales experience. He has worked in marketing and sales for several start-up / high-tech companies and has led partner discussions with several Fortune 1000 clients. He has served as Chairman for a $1 billion dealer buying cooperative. Mr. Daugherty sits on numerous civic boards and committees. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Lewis and Clark State College.

Remy L. Newcombe

Remy Newcombe, Ph.D., Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, is a co-inventor of the Blue PRO® technology with several patents and patents-pending. Dr. Newcombe has domestic and international consulting experience as an environmental engineer and as a geophysicist. She completed her Civil Engineering doctoral dissertation in arsenic removal from drinking water. Dr. Newcombe remains Affiliate Faculty with the University of Idaho and has taught several water treatment-related courses.

Jennifer Kean

Jennifer Kean, CPA, Director of Corporate Finance, has more than 13 years of corporate finance and strategic consulting experience across a spectrum of industries. Most recently, Ms. Kean was Treasurer with Coeur d’Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE) and Director of Corporate Finance at Sony Pictures Entertainment (NYSE: SNE). Prior to her time with Sony, Ms. Kean was a strategic consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC, and Ernst & Young, LLC, where she provided financial and operational guidance to a variety of businesses. Ms. Kean holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Dennis Hession, Director of Special Projects: A management executive and business lawyer, graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and minors in Chemistry and Biology.  He also earned a Law Degree from Gonzaga and holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. Mr. Hession is currently a member of the Faculty of the Gonzaga University School of Law. In his career as a lawyer he specialized in municipal securities and municipal law and represented many governmental entities. Most recently, Mr. Hession served as Mayor of the City of Spokane, following terms as a City Council Member and City Council President. He has been active as a civic leader for many years, serving on the Board of Directors of the Association of Washington Cities and as Legal Advisor to the National League of Cities.  He currently serves at the pleasure of the Governor as the Chairman of the Public Works Board of the State of Washington.

Greg Moller

Greg Möller, Ph.D., Co-inventor of the Blue PRO® technology. Dr. Möller is an Associate Professor in Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology at the University of Idaho. Dr. Möller received his doctorate at the University of California, Davis in Physical Chemistry, has over 70 publications in the area of toxicology and chemistry and has conducted substantial peer-reviewed research for the National Science Foundation, the USDA, and the EPA.

R. James Coleman

R. James Coleman, P.E., graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho and went on to receive an M.S. in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from the University of Idaho in 1976. He was employed with J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. from 1976 to 2005 in various engineering and management assignments. In 1990, he was elected President of J-U-B. In 1992, he assumed the duties of CEO. In 2005, Mr. Coleman resigned from his position at J-U-B to start his own consulting engineering firm, Coleman Engineering, Inc. based in Hayden, ID. Mr. Coleman sits on numerous civic organization boards and has many professional affiliations including being appointed by the Governor of Idaho to the State Transportation Board.

Arthur Brown

Arthur Brown, Board Member, retired in 2006 as Chairman of Hecla Mining Company, headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He graduated from Witwatersrand Technical College, South Africa, as a mining engineer in 1961. Following his graduation, he worked at Cementation Co. in Canada until 1967, when he began his career with Hecla Mining Company (NYSE: HL) as an industrial engineer. He became President of Hecla in 1986 and was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1987. Mr. Brown serves as a director on the boards of AMCOL International Corporation (NYSE: ACO) and Idaho Independent Bank, and served as a Director of The Gold Institute and The Silver Institute (Past President). He is past president of the Idaho Mining Association. He is also a Trustee for the University of Montana Foundation (Past Chairman). He is a member of the audit and compensation committees.

Roland (Sandy) Wheeler

Roland (Sandy) Wheeler, Board Member, is a successful business veteran who has steered the course of companies from start up through IPO to hundreds of millions in annual revenues. Mr. Wheeler was the co-founder, former Vice President of Marketing and former Director of Direct Focus, Inc., which is now known as The Nautilus Group (NYSE:NLS), which manufactures and markets the Bowflex Exercise Equipment and owns Schwinn Fitness, Nautilus and Stairmaster under The Nautilus Group business entity. He raised the capital for Direct Focus that enabled the Company to go from a start-up to over $500 million in sales for 2002. He is the inventor of a FDA registered piece of medical equipment, which is marketed by V-Care, Inc., a private company, which Mr. Wheeler co-founded. Mr. Wheeler has been a guest speaker for the School of Business at Washington State University and is a graduate of Central Washington University. He is a member of the audit and compensation committees.

The Shaw Group

Mike Dillman, Board Member, was recently promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure, a division of Shaw Group Inc. He previously spent 4 years as Controller for the same group. Prior to Shaw he spent 8 years with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
