Tertiary Wastewater Treatment

For tertiary wastewater treatment, including nutrient removal and filtration for water reuse projects, Blue Water offers the Centra-flo™ Filter and the Blue PRO® processes.

Primary Wastewater Treatment

Blue Water offers a highly cost-effective solids removal technology that works in place of primary clarification. It achieves 40-70% TSS and 30% BOD removal from raw influent, and produces 25-40% solids cake. Learn more about Salsnes here.

Water Reuse

The Centra-flo™ Filter is accepted under the California Title 22 regulation for water reuse applications, meeting the necessary filtration turbidity requirements.

Drinking Water Treatment

All materials used in the Centra-flo™ Filter and the Blue PRO® processes are NSF-certified for drinking water use.

Lagoon Systems

Blue Water has installations at lagoon systems which have been operating for several years at a variety of flow rates. The applications include TSS, phosphorus, and algae removal.

Package Plants

Blue Water offers skid-mounted systems for sites with low or intermittent flow rates. The Centra-flo™ Filter and Blue PRO® process are available in this configuration.

Remediation Projects

A variety of mobile units are available for remediation projects, including pump and treat groundwater contamination, man-made or to natural lakes and other industrial waters for discharge.

Through partnerships with large engineering firms Blue Water is able to offer complete solutions, including DBO.

Integration with Existing Systems

Blue Water equipment and processes are engineered to integrate with existing systems. For example, the Blue PRO® process can work with and even enhance the operation of virtually any type of secondary treatment system or disinfection process, including MBR systems and UV disinfection.

Phosphorus Removal

Removal of phosphorus from wastewater is Blue Water’s specialty. The Blue PRO® process is able to deliver total phosphorus results at the limit of technology, as low as <0.010 mg/L P. Blue PRO® is effective on all forms of phosphorus, including dissolved organic phosphorus.

Denitrification

Blue Water has several denitrification installations, averaging total nitrogen levels <3 mg/L N.

Arsenic Removal

The Blue PRO® process is able to meet the MCL for arsenic in drinking water, <0.010 mg/L As.
