Installation Complete in South Korea
Blue Water Technologies, Inc., in partnership with Ilshin Environmental Engineering Co., has completed their
first phosphorus removal installation in South Korea. The installation is located in Keumwang,
South Korea and consists of three CF-128 below ground Centra-flo™ filters that use the patented
process to achieve low level phosphorus removal.

Ilshin
personnel sought a partnership with Blue Water in order to answer the phosphorus removal needs in
South Korea’s Four Rivers Project. The Four Rivers Project is a massive improvement effort of South
Korea’s four largest waterways, an effort to manage their water resources and improve environmental
quality. The partnership, created in 2009, led to a rapid exchange of technical information and sites
visits in both the U.S. and South Korea. This included Blue Water hosting a contingent of 33
representatives from the South Korean Ministry of the Environment, with technical presentations and
installation tours.

Ilshin
now has several projects being installed, with the first one complete at Keumwang. Personnel from Blue Water’s
Operations Department arrived on site in South Korea in March, 2011 to help with the final stages of installation
and startup of the system at the Keumwang WWTP. Upon startup, the single pass system is meeting the site’s phosphorus
discharge limit of 0.2 mg/L.
Blue Water is pleased to share the success of this startup with their Korean partners at Ilshin
Environmental Engineering, and looks forward to the startup of additional projects in 2011.
