Area Sales Manager
Are you a talented rainmaker looking for an opportunity to grow? Blue Water Technologies, Inc. provides waste water treatment technologies for industrial and municipal applications. We are aggressively building a professional team to refine and implement our sales and marketing strategies. Candidates must have a true fire burning for success as well as the proven ability to identify potential clients, define client problems, and develop cost-effective solution options. The successful candidate must communicate effectively with all members of a client's organization, from engineers to the CFO in commercial applications, and from the plant operator to the mayor in municipal applications. While our management team and production facility are located in Idaho, successful regional sales managers need not be. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account strategies and sales plans for targeted customers.
  • Initiate sales engagement and drive multiple sales initiatives at each account to proposals/quotations, negotiation, and successful close.
  • Set priorities; filter opportunities, manage sales activities with internal and external partners, and work with customers to structure energy projects.
  • Manage each sales opportunity from start to close.
  • Proactively manage and build customer relationships for ongoing sales, communicating a concise and articulate explanation of our product, and acting as customer champion and advocate.
  • Accurately manage assigned sales pipeline to achieve company revenue, margin, and ROI targets, ensuring a steady volume of transactions.
  • Document sales activities including: presentations, client meetings, and prospecting.
  • Gather customer and market intelligence and report to management as appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 2+ years of sales experience selling technical, complex large-account, large-dollar system sales.
  • Strong, independent sales professional with a proven record of business development success.
  • Ability to independently drive complex cross-functional sales initiatives.
Skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for large-dollar system sales and proven ability to effectively close, including contract negotiation.
  • Technical understanding of commercial, utility, and government markets and products.
  • Financial acumen; ability to effectively communicate and utilize financial tools in evaluating, structuring solutions, and selling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage professional client relationships.
  • Ability to manage projects and matrix resources/teams.
  • Ability to work independently and drive sales efforts.
  • Estimated 70% time in the field.
